Raised by a single mother, a 17-year-old girl struggles with the pain and isolation of being bullied. As she tries to make sense of her life and find a way through the pressure around her, she turns to the people closest to her for support: her best friend and her best friend’s older sister, whose guidance becomes an important source of direction.
