After a violent shootout, a gangster’s girlfriend escapes to Harlem with a trunk full of gold, hoping to stay ahead of the danger she has left behind. She does not realize the rest of the gang is already hunting for her, with other shady figures drawn into the chase as well. In Harlem, she turns her attention to a sheltered, pudgy momma’s boy, who becomes both the object of her affection and an unlikely hero in the chaos closing in around her.
