Science teacher Hank finds his life upended when he reconnects with his first love and begins to suspect that a new student in his class may be his daughter. As he tries to make sense of the personal questions resurfacing around him, his town is also confronted by an alien threat, forcing Hank to face both a possible family revelation and a danger closing in close to home.
